Contrary to the thinking of our individualistic culture, we need each other! A church is a fellowship of believers who have made Jesus Christ Lord of their lives. Each believer is given the ability and responsibility to edify fellow believers for the overall benefit of all. Here hope and joy is renewed, spiritual lives challenged, and our primary outlet for Christian service identified. Therefore the writer of Hebrews says,
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near”. (Hebrews 10:23-25).
The focus of attention is not on the speculative opinions of individuals but on the sure foundation of God’s inerrant Word. As an example, our Adult Bible Study cultivates an atmosphere where discussion is encouraged and Bible-centred answers pursued. Also, we encourage every member to be actively involved in meaningful ministry to and interaction with their fellow members. This we believe furthers the cause of Christ in the Church over which He is Head.
