Two Rival Religions?

A commonly held point of view in the broader Christian world is the notion that there are various “kinds” of Christians. There are “Liberal” Christians that deny key doctrines of the Bible and “Fundamental/Evangelical” Christians who “just have a different point of view”. This assertion was taken to task a view decades ago by the brilliant scholar John Gresham Machen (1881-1937).

Dr. Albert Mohler, president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, writes helpful commentaries on the state of modern culture and religion. In the article he uses Machen’s grid to assess the current culture we encounter every day. I think it is nicely done.
